There are days when you wake up and just feel the need to get out on two wheels and into the open road. Today was one of those days. Luckily, Noah was up for a ride today so I met up with him Modesto, taking Patterson Pass Road over the Altamont. After joining up with Noah, we started by heading East on Yosemite Blvd/Highway 132 passing by Modesto Resevoir and Turlock Lake before we stopped off in a small town called La Grange, in hopes for break for lunch at the La Grange Saloon and Grill. Unfortunately, it turns out that they had closed down several months back. So we put our helmets back on and decided to go on a leisure ride to the quaint town of Jamestown.
We ended up grabbing a super burrito at Morelia Mexican Restaurant on Main Street of Jamestown. After eating only half of the super burrito (which was still way too much food) we began our journey back. Some highway riding was good for settling the super burrito before we detoured off the highway into Knights Ferry and onto several backroads through Oakdale and eventually back to Dublin.
Today’s ride was a bit on the lengthy side, clocking in 215 miles. All-in-all a fun and safe Sunday ride.
