The Shift Racing Torque Jeans features kevlar reinforced panels in key areas for safety and abrasion resistance and is made of durable 14oz denim fabric. It’s designed in a relaxed, ergonomic fit that is stylish and comes in two washes with added detailing.
These Shift Racing Torque Jeans is not going to be provide the “bullet-proof” vests or the Superman-style sense of invincibility, but its reassuring knowing that your gear is going to hold up when you need it.
I went with the size 32 and although it runs on the long side, it is designed that way so that when you are in riding position your pant legs do not ride up leaving your ankles exposed. The vertical stitching that runs the length of the pants and the “worn-in” look provide the latest fashion trend look, and the pants look good enough to come straight off the bike and into your favorite restaurant or bar. They fit well in the waist and snug in the legs without being constricting. Even with the latest fashion trend look, there is enough space to be able to wear shin and knee protective gear.
I am very pleased with the quality of the jeans, not only for the styling but also the protective and durability points. All in all, I highly recommend this for anyone who is riding on the street in regular jeans and would like to have a little higher sense of confidence that their jeans will hold up to a little more abrasion protection.
