Today I installed the Vortex Rear Set for my 2007 GSXR 750. The build quality is very nice and it has the adjustments to provide more ground clearance as well as forward and backward for comfort. Overall installation time was just under 30 minutes. The adjustability for position gives you any position desired and the overall product quality is great. Overall I think this Vortex Rear Set is a fantastic upgrade.

Tools required:

  • 6mm allen wrench

Parts list for the right side. The image of the left side didn’t save for some reason so I don’t have that to show

Remove the stock rear set on the left side and install the new using the stock bolts to the frame. I decided to go with one setting taller and back from the stock setting.

Here’s a picture of the stock shifter linkage. Use the snapring pliers to remove the clip and use the 11mm and 11mm wrenches to loosen the shifter linkage adjustment.
